Everest Cricket Club (ECC) Masters and Junior teams departed Guyana yesterday to face their Surinamese counterparts in five matches this weekend. The club will also participate in a Duck Curry competition on Sunday.
The masters will play two games while the juniors will be involved in three matches in Nickerie and Paramaribo. ECC First Vice President and Captain of the masters team, Rajesh Singh, said he is confident the teams will do well, noting that the executives are grateful to all those who have assisted in making the trip a reality.
The masters squad reads: Rajesh Singh (Captain), Saeed Khan, Hemraj Garbarran, Shaheed Mohamed, Ravindranauth Seeram, Basil Persaud, Rohan Sarjoo, Ronald Jaisingh, Dennis Mangru, Johnny Azeez, Lennox Cush, Anwar Rahaman and Rakesh Gangaram.
The junior squad: Zacharia Mootoo, Vishal Persaud, Kishan Bhola, Yudister Persaud, Andre Boyce, Brandon Ramnarine, Ariel Tilku, Saif Ali, Joshua Rampersaud, Joshua Gardner, Pravish Singh and Nyron Bissu.
Trophy Stall, Assuria Insurance, Friends of Everest, JGS, Business Services, Aircom, Superior Woods, Carib Food Distributors Inc., Rockaway Auto Sales- New York and Drubahadur and Associates Accounting Firm are the sponsors.
