City Magistrate Fabayo Azore granted $50,000 bail to a 31-year-old pork knocker accused of running off with thousands of dollars worth of men’s clothing, when he appeared in court to answer the charge yesterday.
The Georgetown Magistrates’ Court heard that on January 25, last, at Aranka Landing, Cuyuni, Derrick Watson stole four jerseys valued at $20,000 and two pairs of pants valued $20,000. The items belonged to Akeem Joseph.
The 31-year-old was unrepresented. Police Prosecutor, Corporal Simone Payne did not object to bail. Watson is expected to appear before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on February 2.
