Dear Editor,
Randy Charles, a business man of Lot 68 Premniranjan Place, Prashad Nagar, Georgetown
Hereby wishes to inform you that on 16th November 2014, my residence was broken into by persons I suspect and I suffered financial losses in cash of $1.8 million, one laptop computer valued $120,000 and other valuables.
I made a report to Corporal Edwards at Prashad Nagar Outpost. I also gave a statement but no follow up action was taken.
While I was asleep in my home I was awakened by a masked man armed with a firearm. He demanded cash and jewelry and also threatened to kill me.
I was accosted by the armed intruder to the upper flat of my home where I tricked him to believe I had cash in a closet. I managed to flee and close a bedroom door, but shortly after’ heard a loud bang, Immediately after, I noticed I was bleeding from a wound on my left hand and from my chest.
I raised an alarm and fled my house.
I later return and discovered my iPhone valued $120,000 a flash drive with a recording of the previous forced entry into my home also $560,000 cash, one Alcatel phone valued $75,000 and one Plum phone valued $18,000 gone.
I, made a report to Corporal Edwards at Prashad Nagar Outpost. The scene was visited but fragments from what appears to be a bullet is still in my house.
I’ am frustrated by the inaction of the Police.
Randy Charles
