Saddam and Strikers registered victories when the Mark Wiltshire dominoes tournament continued on Sunday night last with quarterfinal action at August Beverages Enterprise, Norton and Green streets.
Saddam marked 68 games to beat Beacon 57 and GT 55 in their encounter. Ricardo Khan and Deodat Dass scored 17 and 13 respectively for the winners, while Rondell McPherson made the maximum 18 for Beacon, Lloyd Rollins and Ronald Simpson chipped in with 13 and 12 in that order. Rosie Hunte scored 12 and Renette Layers 11 for GT.
Strikers overcame F and H and Mix Up in their contest. Strikers rattled up 82 games while F and H managed 70 and Mix Up 67. L. Boston chalked the maximum 18 while M. Junior and T. Willis made 15 each for Strikers. Keith Maloney was F and H leading player with 16 games, Hazim Hakh contributed 15 and Allan Hinds 12. Clarence Whitehead recorded 15 for Mix Up; Colin Thomas made 14, Osmond Braithwaite 11 and Mark Wiltshire 10.
The competition concluded last night at the said venue. Saddam, Strikers, F and H and Beacon were the teams battling in the semi finals.
