Dear Editor,
After the public release of the now infamous “Anil Nandlall tape” I have noticed that the United States of America embassy in Georgetown particularly chose to stay silent on this issue. After carefully listening to the contents of the tape and comparing the terrorism act of the U.S.A 2001 section 2 article 2 , what Nandlall said is nothing short of terrorism.
I am beginning to wonder why the U.S.A has not revoked his visas as yet. I guess that the U.S.A has some explaining to do, as some persons who are from a different ethnicity and different religious views have been branded terrorists. Some have even had charges being brought against them for some simple comments.
It is not easy to know that a media house and its employees are being threatened with harm from the Minister of Legal Affairs because that media outlet is busy exposing the skullduggery and crookishness.
I could just hope that the Kaieteur News doesn’t becomes Guyana’s Charlie Hebdo. We saw the French Police coming out in full force and going after the perpetrators in Paris but that will never happen in Guyana.
Can’t help but noticing the American double standards.
