Essequibo Cricket Board (ECB) has extended congratulations to all-rounder Keemo Paul on his selection to the West Indies U-19 team for the upcoming NAGICO Super 50 tournament which will be played in Trinidad and Tobago.
The board wishes Paul success and urged that he grab the opportunity to propel him to greater heights. Public Relations Officer Nazeer Mohamed said that Paul is a disciplined and dedicated cricketer whom the ECB always felt would make the county proud and his selection has done likewise. He encouraged the cricketer to remain committed and assured that his progress will be followed closely by Essequibians adding that his elevation will serve to motivate youngsters in the county.
Paul was born at Saxacalli and then migrated to Wakenaam to attend secondary school. He soon became a member of Noitgedacht Sports Club where he started to play the game competitively. He is a product of the Wakenaam leg of the Scotiabank Kiddy cricket coaching programme. Paul copped the best all-rounder award in the 2014 regional U-19 cricket tournament which was played locally.
