Dear Editor,
As a fledgling PPP supporter, I sometimes find it challenging to understand why the party would seek to elevate certain individuals, fully knowing that those individuals are incompetent and useless.
One such individual is Juan Edghill. The party is yet to receive any benefit from its association with Juan Edghill who appears to be “in over his head”. It appears that as of recent, there is on some sort of internal campaign to position Juan as the next Prime Ministerial candidate.
Juan Edghill, firstly, is lacking of knowledge and experience that would allow him to function in the capacity of Prime Minister. He has no formal qualifications that I know of in subjects such as Law, Economics, Engineering and Administration.
He claims to have qualifications in Psychiatry and Divinity from where only he knows. Secondly, Juan Edghill as a Junior Finance Minister has demonstrated that his knowledge of procurement issues is superficial and is shown by the hollow rhetoric he uses when discussing issues of procurement.
Juan Edghill is yet to provide a way forward to improve the efficiency of Guyana’a approach to procuring goods and services. So far, all he has done is restate the obvious.
Thirdly, Juan Edghill brings absolutely no political benefit to the PPP. He is incapable of attracting Afro-Guyanese and Christian votes since his infamous gaffe about whom Jesus Christ would vote for. It is also apparent that the PPP Hindu support base finds this self-anointed Bishop very unappealing.
In summary, Juan Edghill is a liability that is on a free ride because of his loyalty to Bharrat Jagdeo, the great destroyer of the PPP!
Name and address withheld for fear of victimization from Juan and the Bees!
