Play in the Woodpecker Products Annual Christmas Singles round-robin tournament continued on Wednesday last at the Under-15, 19, Open Male and Female Singles categories. The marathon style tournament saw matches with most of the top players maintaining their high form.
Following are the results of those matches on Day 2:
Under-13 Girls Singles Round Robin
Priyanna Ramdhani trounced Siya Persaud: 21-1, 21-1
Priyanna Ramdhani got past Sudarshani Sooknarine: 21-1, 21-1
Abosaide Cadogan got the better of Priyanka Shivnauth: 21-3, 21-1
Siya Persaud defeated Sudarshani Sooknarine: 21-5, 21-9
Under-15 Boys Singles Round Robin:
Tyrese Jeffery gained a walk over from Akili Haynes
Under-15 Girls Singles Round Robin:
Priyanna Ramdhani took care of Abosaide Cadogan: 21-8, 21-3
Abosaide Cadogan defeated Priyanka Shivnauth: 21-3, 21-1
Siya Persaud beat Priyanka Shivnauth: 21-6, 21-5
Priyanna Ramdhani piy away Priyanka Shivnauth: 21-1, 21-0
Abosaide Cadogan banged Siya Persaud: 21-9, 21-7
Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Siya Persud: 21-3, 21-5
Under-19 Girls Singles Round Robin:
Priyanna Ramdhani flew past Nyckelle Yearwood: 21-1, 21-1
Abosaide Cadogan stopped Amanda Daniels:21-1, 21-5
Under-19 Boys Singles Round Robin:
Narayan Ramdhani took care of Ronald Chang Yuen: 21-12, 21-8
Jonathan Mangra eased past Ronald Chang Yuen: 21-10, 21-11
Open Men Singles Round:
Narayan Ramdhani trounced Ronald Chang Yuen: 21-8, 21-10
Christopher Persaud survived against Avinash odit: 21-18, 19-21, 21-14
Jonathan Mangra outlasted Avinash Odit: 21-19, 16-21, 18-21
The tournament continues tomorrow from 11:00hrs with final matches while the presentation is set for 13:00hrs.
