An afternoon of fun for children at the Red Cross Children’s Convalescent Home last week
Thursday represented the first in a series of outreach activities being undertaken through the sponsorship of Tech Pro and Fun Park Rentals.
The two entities are collaborating to undertake the ‘FUN’ initiative which is intended to target underprivileged children who would have otherwise not been so exposed.
Fun Park Rentals in collaboration with several businesses is giving back to the less fortunate in a different way.
“At Fun Park Rentals we recognize the value of recreation in children’s development and the positive impact on their socialization process. With that in mind we have embarked on a mission to provide good clean fun that will not only enhance orphans’ physical health but will also have lasting effects on their lives.”
The Red Cross Children’s Convalescent Home (CCH) is a community outreach programme of the Guyana Red Cross Society that provides residential care and support for children ages five and under. It caters to children who are convalescing from malnourishment, abuse, neglect, abandonment and orphanage and was therefore referred to CCH by the child Care and Protection Agency.
CCH aims to promote the children’s safety, welfare, and healthy physical, mental and emotional development, with the ultimate goal of family reintegration or fostering/adoption.

The traditional hosting of Christmas parties and giving toys by businesses at the end of the year are common phenomena but to enrich this experience Fun Park Rentals brings the “FUN” to the party with the Bouncy Castle and trampolines.
