Holding off the Suriname challenge at Flex Night Int. tonight at the National Cultural Centre will be seven
(7) of Guyana’s best, drawn from two gyms – Fitness Paradise Gym (5 females) and Genesis Fitness (2 females).
For Genesis Fitness it will be their debut on the Miss Bikini stage, and they are making that debut in fine style, sending the statuesque twins Marissa and Marise Jordan to represent the gym and the country.
This marks the first time that twins of any gender will be competing on the bodybuilding stage in Guyana. In the 1940s the Bacchus sisters competed in powerlifting but those were not twins.
Building upon a long tradition of female participation in bodybuilding events, Fitness Paradise Gym will be sending five (5) of its best to the Miss Bikini stage. Fiano Spencer, dance aerobics instructor and winner of the 2014 Fitness Paradise Miss Bikini contest joins her colleagues Shawnell Warner (Miss Flex Night Bikini 2012 winner), Marissa Lowden, Sonia Cummings and Mahaila Goodluck on stage tonight.
In the Miss Best Legs category Alisha Fortune will join a number of the Miss Bikini competitors in maintaining a leg up on the visitors. Fans are in for a treat as the action is expected to be hot.
