The Cool Runnings Beach Football Club of Linden has completed its second project in the
Bauxite Mining Town funded under the Community Grounds Development Programme of the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport.
This project entailed 600ft of fencing which was completed with inch and a half metal pipes and chain link fencing to the tune of one million dollars.
According to a press release from the club, this is the second grant the club has received under this programme. In 2013 the Bleacher Stand seen in the attached photo was completed along with an advertising wall.
The club wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport for their continued assistance which will foster growth and development for all sand/beach sport in Linden and by extension, Guyana.
The club continues to be active and was on a goodwill tour to Buxton last weekend where a number of friendly matches were played with a view to spread the awareness of beach soccer to the east coast.
