Guinness ‘Greatest of de Streets’ Futsal Competition…
Still not showing the kind of form that took them to two titles including the Georgetown
Zone and the national playoffs, Queen Street of Tiger Bay were made to scrape and scrape against a feisty Tucville unit, before escaping with a 1-0 win to claim their first set of points in this year’s Guinness ‘Greatest of de Streets’ Futsal Competition.
Playing in the final game of Wednesday night’s action, the defending champions were led to victory by their talismanic leader Deon Alfred, who netted the lone goal of the encounter in the 7th minute.

Game 1 – North East La Penitence 3 vs Riverview 0. Quincy Success (7), Timothy Telford (12th), Cordell Tudor (17th).

Game 4 – California Square – 2 vs Adelaide Street Charlestown – 2; California Square won 3-2 on sudden death kicks. California scorer Christopher Darlington (19th & 21st), Adelaide scorer Marlon Cole (5th), Dellano Howes (16th).
Game 5 – Albouystown ‘B’ – 0 vs Leopold Street – 0; Albouystown ‘B’ won 2-1 on penalty kicks.
Game 6 – Hope Street Tiger Bay – 1 vs Laing Avenue – 0. Dwayne Dickson (3th).
Game 7 – Globe Yard – 1 vs Back Circle – 0. Anthony France (16th).
Game 8 – Queen Street Tiger Bay – 1 vs Tucville – 0. Deon Alfred (7th).
