DEAR EDITOR,
As Guyanese, we must not forget the seriousness of confidential tax information of Kaieteur News being made available to a private citizen. This is a malicious act. We must not forget the vulgar and obscene language and the alleged death threats against the owner of Kaieteur News, Glenn Lall, and his employees. Not to mention the pimping of a female reporter and other obnoxious utterances.
We must not forget the more than 50 fictitious law suits amounting to over $1 billion that have been filed against Glenn Lall and the newspaper’s Editor in Chief, Adam Harris by the oppressive PPP regime. It is very clear the same PPP which fought to have its paper published has been hatching a plot to close down Kaieteur News, the leading news paper in the country.
Who do these people think they are? We must never forget that those currently in power, who claimed that they have fought against dictatorship and corruption in Guyana, have now become the most corrupt and dictatorial regime in all of the English-speaking Caribbean. By proroguing Parliament, the PPP has now joined the ranks of their dictatorial friends in North Korea and Cuba. Shame on them!
If there is one substantial benefit which has already been derived from all the deceitful acts is that, at long last, the people have realized how evil, brutal, spiteful, dictatorial and dangerous the regime is. And the group-think cabal’s obnoxious, treacherous and torturous acts have awakened Guyanese to the precipitous plight of their survival and their beloved country which is under siege.
How unfortunate that spurious attempts are being made by the cabal to distract the public away from their dreadful actions against the staff of Kaieteur News, freedom of the press and the people in general, especially those who oppose the regime.
The truth is unashamedly being undermined by the administration and a small recalcitrant cabal selfishly prostituting themselves and unrelentingly sabotaging the integrity and intellectual capacity of the people. Their hatched plan to destroy Kaieteur News and harm its Publisher and staff coupled with their rule by decree which is dictatorial have not only backfired on them but has become public knowledge.
The columns of the PPP-aligned newspapers are awash with distractions, propaganda, distortions and lies, glaringly intent on subverting the real issues affecting the people and the PPP hideous plans to deny the people their rights by circumventing democracy and freedom of the press.
The incompetent cabal are bent on suppressing truth, honesty and integrity while, in turn, obnoxiously glorifying indecency, deception, immorality, foul and anti-women behaviour.
It defies human intelligence that a party claims to support the poor and the working class could indulge in such nefarious and demonic acts against them. The regime is in a degenerative stage and it is so desperate that it will do anything, including hurting the citizens, to maintain power that is rapidly slipping away from them. It is only those with warped, devious or perverted minds who can surreptitiously attempt to justify the actions of such uncouth, uncivilized and criminal acts.
It is time for the general public to join APNU in the streets to protest the actions of the dictatorial PPP regime.
It is a sign of decay of immeasurable proportion when a government responsible for overseeing due process and the rule of law continually fails to reprimand and apprehend those who violate them with remorseless impunity. Guyana has a tyrannical and a Mickey Mouse government.
Guyana is a failed state that beckons for a course of action by the people and the opposition to save it.
