In a simple but historic ceremony, Copa Airlines, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings, S.A.,
{NYSE: CPA}, yesterday inked an agreement with Flex Night Inc. organisers of the annual Flex Night Body Building and Fitness Show that will see a luck fan winning a return ticket to any of the 69 destinations and 30 countries the airline services.
Signing the letter of commitment on behalf of Copa was Country Sales Manager Nadine Oudkerk who said that the airline is pleased to be associated with the event which represents fitness and responsible bodybuilding.
Signing on behalf of Flex Night Inc. was Director of External Resources David Gomes who, in delivering the vote of thanks praised Copa for partnering with Flex Night Inc. and was looking forward to the two entities working towards building a partnership that will last for a long time.
Managing Director of Flex Night, Donald Sinclair in remarks stated that the partnership with Copa is one that is exciting not only for the Directors of Flex Night and the athletes but for all the fans that would be buying a ticket to be at the show on December 7 at the National Cultural Centre.
“Copa itself will have a presence at the National Cultural Centre on Flex Night not only to hand over the ticket to the lucky person but to tell the cultural centre audience about what they do. The motto of flex night of raising the bar, well I think this collaboration with Copa raises the bar 33,000 feet.”
Sinclair also noted that this is the initial stage of the partnership; the two entities will be meeting after the show to discuss further.
With their motto being, “Connected, everything is possible”, Oudkerk stated that Copa Airlines services several destinations of key importance to Guyanese travelers such as Miami, Toronto, Orlando and several others via its Hub of the Americas in Panama.
“Since starting service to Guyana on July 11th, Copa Airlines has experienced unprecedented support from Guyana; the service has been well received by the travelling public, who has shared positive reviews.” Copa Airlines flies twice weekly out of Guyana.
