The students of the nation’s premiere learning institution, Queen’s College, will be engaged in keen competition when their sports master, Johnny Barnwell, plans several sporting activities starting this morning and concluding Friday.
When activities get underway today, the boys and girls at the 3rd Form levels will compete in inter-class tapeball cricket. The matches will be 10 overs affairs and 3A will take on 3B from 12:00hrs at the school’s ground.
Activities continue at the same venue tomorrow and Friday when the children at the 2nd Form level engage in a similar match; 2B will take on 2C tomorrow followed by the matches between the children of the 1st Forms.
The matches start at 12:00hrs and will include Girls – 1D versus 1C followed by 1A against ‘1B. 1D Boys will then take on their counterparts from 1C and later on 1A Boys will play the boys of 1B.
Meanwhile, the Queen’s College Allied Arts Department recently held an Inter-House Volleyball Competition at the school’s Court; H house prevailed over B house in the finals 21-14, 21-12, 21-15. Trophies and medals for all of the events were donated by Trophy Stall, Bourda Market.
