Pele FC has amassed 19 points and leads the other 7 teams as action in the second-round of the Georgetown Football Association division one league continues at the Tucville ground. Fruta Conquerors are on 16 points while Sunburst Camptown are in the third place slot on 13 points. The Guyana Police Force (11), Georgetown Football Club (7), Flamingo FC (6), Northern Rangers (6) and Beacon FC (3) are the other contenders.
There has been several postponements but the action resumes on Wednesday October 22 with Police taking on GFC while Fruta Conquerors will tackle Camptown. The tournament commenced March 22 and to date, the teams have played each other once with Pele earning the top place after victories over GFC, Flamingo, Beacon and Camptown. Their match with the GPF ended in a 0-0 stalemate.
