Another batch of lawyers has graduated from the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad after completing their law degrees at the University of Guyana. The first of the lot to be admitted to the local bar was Orinthia Schmidt.
The former student of Zeeburg Secondary School and later St. Stanislaus College, opted for law studies because of the injustices she witnessed over time. The second of two children for her single parent mother, Ms.Schmidt did very well at Hugh Wooding.
She was admitted to the local Bar by Justice Roxanne George-Wiltshire after Attorney Ronald Burch-Smith presented her application. She is joining the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
