Dear Sir,
Your article exposes this evil plot of the Government and the Commissioner General of the Guyana Revenue Authority, Mr. Khurshid Sattaur, to destroy Kaieteur News, and its owner, Mr. Glenn Lall. (Kaieteur News /22/9/14¯Sattaur addresses issue of plot to destroy Kaieteur News…Newspaper provides the evidence)
Historically, media have always won out against Governments because they have enormous power to influence the public in ways Governments cannot even begin to imagine. In fact, it is said that the media can make or break a government. Perhaps, this is what is motivating the government and its cohorts to strike against Kaieteur News and Stabroek News.
The evil attempts by this desperate regime will fall by the way side, and the plotters of those nasty schemes will be ensnared by their own cunning devices.
However, this latest attempt brings to the fore, the fact that the government is willing and ready to do anything to prevent further exposure of their corruption because it is affecting their chances of staying in power.
As a result, critics of the PPP government used to be very careful because there appears to be a wider plan, by the group, at Freedom House, not only to tarnish the character of those who are fighting for good governance, and democracy and exposing the government but also to drive fear in them to prevent them from continuing to expose the corruptions and its attendant evils visited upon this nation by the PPP government.
This corruption seen in their mega projects has placed a very heavy burden on us and our children for decades to come. Long after we would have departed this life, our children will be saddled with repaying monies which this government took in the form of loans.
Nevertheless, Kaieteur News must continue to do its work, and to be the guardian of the state, to hold the government accountable to the people, and to keep the public informed. Guyanese will always be grateful to Kaieteur News and Mr. Lall for the good job he is doing for all citizens of Guyana.
I wonder how those involved felt when the saw the published email messages.
Shame on the Commissioner General, shame on Bharrat Jagdeo, shame on Attorney General and shame on the PPP Government!
