The final of the Parbatie Jaggai Memorial Inter Secondary School T20 cricket competition organized by the Upper Corentyne Cricket Association for schools in the area has been rescheduled to Friday from last Friday due to inclement weather.
Competing will be Skeldon High School (Lutheran) and Tagore Memorial Secondary at the Crabwood Creek Sports Complex Ground.
Four schools, Tagore Memorial Secondary, Skeldon High, Skeldon Annex and Skeldon Line Path Secondary were scheduled to compete, but Skeldon Annex withdrew because of their inability to field a team.
The three remaining teams competed against each other using the round-robin format with the top two advancing to the final. Skeldon High won both their games, Tagore had one win.
The competition is sponsored by Steven Seeraj, son of the late Parbatie Jaggai and will see the winning team receiving the Parbatie Jaggai Memorial Trophy and stationery voucher valued $15,000 while the runner-up will collect a trophy and a stationery voucher ($10,000). The man-of-the-match in the final will receive a trophy.
