Blairmont Community Centre won their last Zone A (West Berbice) preliminary match against Bush Lot New generation
to end unbeaten and zone winners to book their quarter-final berth in the Elizabeth Styles Under-19, 50-overs cricket competition in Berbice.
Bush Lot were bowled out for 185 in 35-overs, Navendra Mahadeo made 56 (8×4), Leg spinner Chandradatt Veersammy picked up 4-32 for Blairmont which made light work of the target to win with 4 wickets and 18 overs to spare.
In another match in the same zone, Berbice Under-19 pacer Renison Mitchell grabbed 5-11 to help Achievers A bowl out D’Edward for a platy 55. He then came back with the bat and scored 24* to lead Achievers A to an 8 wicket win.
