As he turns 40, Shivnarine Chanderpaul qualifies him to be a player of Floodlights team.
Chanderpaul sparkled at the recently floodlighted DCC Ground on Friday evening last with an explosive half century.
Bel Air Rubis posted 174 in 20 overs batting first. Chanderpaul then led the way for Floodlights with an entertaining 75 to overhaul the total. He was supported by Patrick Khan 36, Khalid Baksh 40 not out and his opening partner Romeo Deonarain who made 8.
On Pitch#2, Mike’s Wellman defeated Parika Defenders by 14 runs. Mike’s Wellman batting first made 198. Parika Defenders in reply could only reach 185 all out.
