National Senior Road Race champion, Geron Williams who rides for team Stans NoTubes
on the UCI Pro circuit is one of five seasoned campaigners who will represent Guyana at the Elite Caribbean Cycling Championships set for October 11-12 in Puerto Rico.
The Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF) met and announced that Geron Williams, Raynauth ‘Obeah Man’ Jeffrey (Team Coco’s), Marlon ‘Fishy’ Williams (Roraima Bikers Club), Alanzo Greaves (Roraima Bikers Club) and Hamza Eastman (Team Coco’s) will fly the Golden Arrowhead at this year’s championships.
Barring Eastman, the other riders all represented Guyana at this year’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland and are eager to register top medal positions for Guyana.
The Guyanese have not been dominant at the senior level in the Caribbean for some time but are hoping to change that around this year.
