An electrician was shot once to his leg and robbed around 19: 30 hours on Thursday last, while he was standing outside of his Charlestown residence.
Leon Andrews, 35, of Lot 84 Sussex and St. Stephens Streets, is currently nursing the gunshot wound at the Georgetown Public Hospital’s theatre. His sister, Michelle Mansoor, said that the bullet hit him in the right leg and his condition is critical.
According to a police press release and eyewitnesses’ accounts, two bandits on a “CG motorcycle” approached Andrews while he was standing at the entrance to his home.
It was reported that one bandit climbed off the motorcycle and shot the electrician before relieving him of a gold chain and fleeing.
The matter was reported to the Ruimveldt Police Station and investigations are currently ongoing.
