The rampaging Warriors are set to tangle with the roving East Canje Knights in the first semi final of the Legend Classic Basketball competition set for this Sunday in the Ancient county of Berbice.
The Warriors won in Group B while The Knights was the runners-up team in group A. The second semifinal is slated for September 14 between Fyrish Black Sharks and an opponent yet to be decided.
Meanwhile, New Amsterdam Warriors was prepared for battle but their opponents Smythfield Rockers failed to show up for their top of the table group B clash which was set Sunday last at the New Amsterdam Basketball Court. The organizers are set to meet shortly to decide the fate of the Smythfield Rockers team.
The competition is sponsored by Ponai’s Pharmacy, A. Ally & Sons and Nand Persaud Group of companies. Coordinator is Vibert Garrett.
