As part of the celebrations of Mining Week currently being observed, the Ministry of Natural Resources yesterday launched a special publication on the sector.
The magazine, by the Guyana Inc., featured popular gold miner, Chunilall ‘Vulture’ Baboolall, a prominent businessman from Bartica whose holdings now includes a soon-to-be-opened mall on Sheriff Street, and a resort in the hinterlands.
In photo at the launching yesterday at the Ministry’s Brickdam Offices, were Guyana’s Inc.’s Managing Director, Frank Sanichara; Minister Robert Persaud; Mr. Patrick Harding, President of Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association. Rickford Vieira, Commissioner, of Guyana Geology and Mines Commission and other mining officials.
