The two-month long school holiday will come to an end this weekend and all schools in the 10 Administrative Regions are ready to accommodate students for the new school term which begins on September 1.
This is according to the Ministry of Education in a press statement yesterday. It was noted that final preparations such as weeding and arranging furniture are currently ongoing countrywide. All fine tuning is expected to be completed in time for Monday. In the past, there have been instances where schools were not properly prepared to accommodate students and thus, created discomfort and conflict on the first day of school. The release stated that the Ministry extends best wishes to all students across the country as they begin this new term and new school year.
“The Ministry remains committed to ensuring that it provides the best learning environment for the nation’s children, despite the many challenges faced, and will continue to deliver the highest quality education possible.”
The Ministry stressed that parents are encouraged to make a special effort to ensure their children are punctual and attend school regularly during this new school year.
