This year’s Republic Bank sponsored, Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club Summer Camp ended on Friday last and has been deemed a resounding success.
Organised by the Club’s cricket teams with the aim of preparing Grade Six students for entrance into Secondary School system the activity also served to encourage the students to get involved in sports as a way to occupy their extra time.
Senior teacher of Port Mourant Secondary School, Rohan Etwaru who conducted the Camp stated that a total of 56 disciplined and focused students attended the four-week activity. He stated that they have been properly prepared for secondary school.
The students were taught Mathematics, English, Integrated Science, English B, Social Studies and Spanish.
