DEAR EDITOR,
The Guyana Police Force (GPF), and in particular the “A” division and its Commander Mr. Hicken, must be commended for the service- and leadership-oriented week-long camping initiative that involved young people from the Rosemary Lane (Tiger Bay) and Albouystown communities. Also deserving of commendation is Pastor Eworth Williams and the Heavenly Light World Outreach Fellowship Church of Albouystown.
This represents a refreshing narrative for the GPF, because too often than not, the Force is in the news for the wrong reasons. While not being involved in the outreach, Blue CAPS endorses such initiatives that align with our own objectives, and we believe that institutions and individuals involved in such must be publicly recognized and applauded.
