St. Rose’s High School is among a number of secondary schools along with the University of Guyana that will undergo upgrading works shortly.
In an advertisement in yesterday’s edition of the Guyana Chronicle, the Ministry of Education invited bids for the rehabilitation of St. Rose’s High School. The Engineer’s estimate for that project is $50M.
The Ministry will also be extending the St. Ignatius Secondary School and rehabilitating its workshop. The Engineer’s estimate for that project is $38M.
Perhaps because of the growing hinterland population and increased school attendance, the Ministry will be extending Mahdia Secondary, Aishalton Secondary, and Sand Creek Secondary Schools. The Engineer’s estimates for those projects are $15M, $20M, and $25M respectively.
Meanwhile, sewerage and electrical works will be executed at the University of Guyana, Turkeyen. The advertisement did not state which faculties or buildings will benefit. The Engineer’s estimate for this project is $13.8M.
