Rangers defeated Farm XI by 43 runs in a 15-over softball match played recently at Thirst Park. Rangers batted first and posted 203-5 off their allotted overs. Reaz Karim and Amrit Rai came together after they had lost two early wickets and put together 97 for the third wicket before Karim went for 58. Rai scored 38 and was supported by Safraz Karim with 26. Farm XI were bowled out for 160 in 14 overs. Avinash Sookdeo got them off to a flier despite losing an early wicket, but when he was dismissed 45, only Yusuf Yunnis with 28 and Ameer Azeez 21 offered support. Rai and Safraz Karim captured two wickets each.
Reaz Karim was given the man of the match prize while Rangers collected a trophy.
