The Unity for the Nation Organisation, which is founded by Physical Fitness Trainer and Community Leader, activist and sports enthusiast, Eli Hazel, has organized a 3-a-side Small Goal Knockout Road Side Football Competition for the month of August.
The competition, which is expected to kick off on August 17, will be played on the Lawns of Fordy’s Subletta Catering at the Junction of Winkle Road and Tucber Park, New Amsterdam, Berbice beginning at 14:00hrs.
The rest of the playing days and a day for the final will be announced subsequently. Teams are expected to consist of five players each with three playing at a time. Attractive monetary and other prizes will be available for the top three teams as well as the outstanding individual performers.
The winning team will receive $50,000; second placed $25,000, third will collect $13,000.

Hazel has been organizing walks and fitness activities in recognition of Good Manners, World Health day, Fathers, Mothers and Emancipation Day among others.
