People who wuk long and hard does get a pension when dem retire. Some of dem who getting that pension got to beg because de pension can’t even pay dem simple expense. A senior teacher who retire 20 years ago getting a pension that is barely $20,000 a month. De old age pension that she does collect is almost as much. Then this teacher does get she NIS pension which ain’t meet $20,000.
Long time, this would help out but these days although she live in a senior citizen home she struggling. She got to use she whole teacher pension to pay fuh just sleep in de place. De rest of money barely do fuh buy food and some fine things. If she get sick she got to tek she chance wid de Georgetown Public Hospital.
Dem got people who wuk wid Telecoms and retire de other day. Fuh all dem years of service dem getting a pension of $18,000 a month. Some of dem was big manager. All these people watching Jagdeo and crying because he ain’t wuk half as hard as dem and he getting a pension that would support 200 pensioners every month.
Dem boys seh that just like how dem beggars does go and line up at dem Muslim store every Friday fuh Zakaat, dem old people should go and line up outside Jagdeo house every day. This man had a chance to mek sure that he ain’t got to wuk no more. But he never mek sure that dem other pensioner live comfortable. And wha mek things bad is that Jagdeo ain’t even reach de age of retirement yet.
Dem boys seh that Jagdeo even deh better than dem pensioner. If he get sick he don’t have to pay fuh nutten. He can even charter a plane fuh go to a hospital overseas. He don’t have to pay fuh that. He don’t have to pay light bill and phone bill. Dem other pensioner got to pay.
Since dem boys ask a young person wha he want to be when he get big, de person don’t even hesitate. He or she does seh “ Like Jagdeo”.
Talk half and train dem pickney fuh tun president like Jagdeo.
Listen to the man that is throwing Guyanese bright future away
