Anointed Hearts International Outreach Inc. opened its Resource Centre earlier this year. Anointed Hearts is a Region One-based organization.
The ribbon cutting ceremony featured Regional Chairman Mr. Paul Pierre and Pastor Shirley Jeffrey, who serves at the Mabaruma Assembly of God Church.
She was chosen by former Force Sergeant Major, Elvis Simon, of the Guyana Defence Force and his wife, Simone, to serve as president of the Region One branch office headquarters. She will be supported by several local members of the community.
Mrs. Melissa Inniss Thomas was chosen as the manager of the Help center.
According to Mrs. Simon, their choices for president and manager were very easy. Pastor Jeffrey and Mrs. Thomas have been working alongside herself and husband since their very first visit to the Northwest. They worked diligently and were outstanding in helping them complete their projects.
At the ribbon cutting ceremony, Regional Chairman, Paul Pierre, welcomed the organization to the region and expressed his willingness to assist in whatever area assistance is needed to execute the success of the project.
He thanked the Simons for making Mabaruma the recipient of the project. He urged members of the community present to make full use of the centre.
Pastor Shirley Jeffrey gave a brief history of the organization and its work so far in touching the lives of families.
The Simons thanked everyone who had a hand in bringing about the success of the Resource and Help Centre, especially Pastor Hanniff Bacchus , of Calvary Assemblies of God Church, Ozone Park, New York; and their leadership and members for nurturing this project to the end.
