Police are investigating the circumstances in which a 29 year old was shot twice and left lying on a road at Timehri early
Friday morning. According to reports Terrence Younge, of Lot 54 Hyde Park, Timehri was found lying on the roadway with two gunshot wounds about the body.
The man’s wife Sheneeza Barlow told Kaieteur News yesterday that she was at home when relatives called to tell her about her husband being shot. The woman said that her husband had left their Timehri home on Thursday evening to go “hang out” with friends. According to Barlow she became worried after he didn’t return home.
Barlow said that she received an early morning call from one of her husband’s cousin who had taken Younge to the hospital. Barlow stated that she was told by the cousin who lives a short distance from where the body was found that he had heard a loud noise around 02:00hrs.
The woman said that the cousin claims that when he came out of his house, he saw her husband lying on the ground in a pool of blood.
Younge was immediately rushed to the hospital. Kaieteur News understands that the cousin has been taken into police custody and is assisting with investigations.
