The Georgetown Cricket Umpires & Scorers Association (GCU&SA) training classes for the year 2014 will commence today at 17:00 hrs at the Demerara Cricket Club, Queenstown.
Thereafter, sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:00 hours to 19:00 hours of each week and will conclude with the Umpires Preliminary Examinations scheduled for Sunday July 27. Registration fee is $500.
Cricketers, administrators, captains, coaches and reporters are also invited to attend. A special appeal is made to the young males and females to attend these classes and aspire to become umpires since there is a growing demand regionally and internationally for these categories of umpires.
