Six Guyanese are reportedly in serious condition following a vehicular accident yesterday in neighbouring Suriname.
According to the De Ware Tijd online news, the Toyota Hilux with Guyanese number plate was heading to Nickerie, an area that borders to Corentyne, Berbice.
Police said that about 175 miles from Nickerie, the vehicle suffered a blowout and flipped before coming to a rest at the side of the road.
De Ware Tijd said that five women and a man were injured. Two of the persons were said to be in serious condition.
There has been a significant increase in the number of Guyanese and Surinamese using the ferry service at Moleson Creek crossing.
A bridge that will link the two countries is now seriously being considered.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
