Speed XI overcame Mischievous Boys by four wickets to claim the Pitamber Auto Spares over 40 softball title recently at the Georgetown Cricket Club.
Batting first after winning the toss, Mischievous Boys scored 160 all out in 22.3 overs. Chatham Narayan scored 39, Yussuf Yunnis 28 and Nigel Dindyal 26. Randolph Perreira captured 3-19, Kamal Seebarran 2-18 and Rahaman Khan 2-26.
Speed XI replied with 162-6 in 19.1 overs. Perreira led with 55 not out and Solomon Ghanie 46. Satesh Persaud snared 2-10, Yunnis 2-12 and Arjune Persaud 2-13. Perreira was named Man of the Match while Chatham Narayan and Persaud received prizes for efforts.
