The playoffs of the Orin Joseph Memorial Dominoes competition will take place on Friday and Saturday at the National Gymnasium while the final will be played on Sunday at the said venue. Action gets underway at 18:30 hrs on Friday and 13:00hrs on Saturday and Sunday. Teams will be engaged in a march past before the playoffs.
Among the Georgetown teams that have qualified are TNT, Providence, Pacesetters, Phantom, R and R, Dream Team, Assassins and Turning Point.
The winning team will take home $500,000 and a trophy, the runner up $300,000 and a trophy, third place $100,000 and a trophy, fourth place $60,000 and a trophy. The most valuable players (male and female) will be given $7,500 each, the player that shared the first double love $5,000 and the best uniformed team $30,000.
The competition is being played in memory of the late president of the Georgetown Dominoes Association Orin Joseph and sponsored by Faye Joseph.
