Eric Thomas stroked a fine unbeaten 46 to lead Regal Masters to a commanding seven wicket victory over Success Masters in a 20 overs softball fixture on Sunday last at Everest.
Thomas, who was given the man of the match award, slammed five fours as Regal reached their winning target of 98 for the loss of three wickets in 15 overs.
Batting first Success Masters never got going and were skittled for 97 in 19.4 overs. Only Kishore Mohabir showed fight with 28 as Troy Kippins captured 3-10 and Mahendra Hardyal 3-15.
Farm overcame Frontline by five wickets in the open category which followed. Frontline managed 106 all out in 15 overs, taking first strike. Mohamed Rafeek scored 38 (3×4); Patrick Khan snared 3-16 and Junior Reddy 2-20.
Man of the match Rawl Reid then cracked a fine unbeaten 58 with six fours to lead Farm to 108-5 in 10 overs in reply. The games were organized as part of the Everest Cricket Club 100th anniversary celebrations.
