Sans Souci and Sans Souci Jaguars recorded victories when the Wakenaam Neighbourhood Democratic Council/ Regal Stationery and Computer Centre T/20 tournament which continued on Sunday last.
At the Wakenaam Community Centre ground, Sans Souci Jaguars defeated Good Success by three runs in the 09:30h fixture. The Jaguars batted first and scored 112 all out in 18 overs. Satrohan Shiwnandan led with 30 (3×6), Moin Khan made 24 and Nokta Moses 23. Vickram Ramnairne claimed 3-25, Nazeer Mohamed 2-6, Imran Khan 2-18 and Chandrika Ragnauth 2-37. Good Success replied with 109-7 18 overs. Charles Benjamin scored 39 (5×4,1×6) and Mohamed 28 (1×4,1×6); Olwin Paton snared 2-14 and Siddiq Mohamed 2-28.
Sans Souci got the better of Noitgedacht by 22 runs in the second encounter. Sans Souci took first strike and posted 177-8 in 18 overs. Oyono Sampson stroked 85, Gurnauth Khemraj 26 and Heera Sukram 19. Omal Bacon picked up 2-18 and Kemo Paul 2-22. Noitgedacht responded with 155-6 in 18 overs. Carva Hinds was their leading batsman with 46 while Paul made 34. Khemraj captured 2-16 and Devon Rambaran 2-24.
Both games were reduced to 18 overs due to rain.
Sans Souci Jaguars will play Sans Souci and Zeelandia will face Maria’s Pleasure in the semi finals on April 27 at the said venue.
