-in honour of James Lewis’ retirement from Public Service after 34 years
The National Cultural Centre Tarmac will be buzzing with tapeball cricket on Sunday when eight government Ministries clash in a competition in honour of James Lewis who is retiring from the Public Service after some 34 years of service.
Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday afternoon acquiesced to Lewis’ request for sponsorship by presenting him with a trophy and several medals towards a successful competition.
Teams from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Culture Youth and Sport, Legal Affairs, Health, Finance, Public Service and Housing will all vie for top honors.
Public Service Minister Ms. Jennifer Westford has also presented sponsorship to Lewis as well as the Local Government Ministry. Others are expected to come forward according to Lewis.
Game time on Sunday is 10:00hrs.
