To enhance Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Government has invited contractors to bid for the supply, delivery and installation of Information Communication and Technology equipment to the nine technical institutes.
According to an advertisement in the Sunday Chronicle, Government has received a US$7.5M loan from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) towards enhancing TVET projects. Government intends to utilize a portion of the proceeds of this loan for eligible payments under this contract.
Eligible bidders are firms or joint ventures of firms, which are legally incorporated or otherwise have their principal place of business in a country that is a CBD member. In addition, bidders will be required to submit full qualification with their bids, establishing their eligibility to bid and qualification to perform the contract if the bid is accepted.
Bid documents will be available for inspection from April 7 to May 23, 2014. A complete set of bidding documents can be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $1,000.
Government reserves the fight to accept or reject any bid, and to annul the process and reject all bids.
