The multi-million-dollar Inter-American Development Bank project undertaken by the Government of Guyana with Nauth and Sons to fix the East Canje Public road has long overrun its due date.
However, despite the fact that the work has not been completed as yet, the road has started to fall apart as can be seen in the picture.
A big crater has started to develop in the middle of the road just at the bridge approach between Betsy Ground and Good Banana Land.
The work which was supervised by the Ministry of Works should have seen the road, culverts and bridges being repaired and widened where necessary. As can be seen, the dilapidated and disgraceful looking culvert was never touched, not even patched or repaired.
This is a total waste of taxpayers’ money. They are calling for the consultants and contractors to be fired.
LISTEN HOW JAGDEO WILL MAKE ALL GUYANESE RICH!!!
