Miss India Guyana 2013; Miss India worldwide Most Beautiful Skin Awardee, and now the reigning Miss Universe Guyana, Katherina Roshana, left Guyana last evening for French Guiana. There, she will participate in several activities pertaining to the Miss India responsibilities. She will also undertake humanitarian service as an International Ambassador of World Peace.
The Miss India Franchise Holder of French Guiana will host a lavish beauty pageant for the Miss India/French Guiana 2014 pageant to be held over this weekend. This pageant coincides with Katherina Roshana’s visit.
The Guyana beauty has been invited to model on stage and also to be a judge for the competition. Recently, Miss India Guyana 2013 was a judge for the Miss India/USA pageant.
While in French Guiana, Katherina Roshana will make a serious effort to visit a school that caters for Autistic Children.
She says that in the Caribbean little attention is paid to children with neurological disorders, the most misunderstood of illnesses.
Katherina continues her passionate quest and has developed an amazing bond with autistic children. She now pledges her support not only during her year of reign, but it will be a lifelong quest for her. She is prepared to coordinate any contributions from business or individuals for the Step by Step School and for her Charity Foundation for the disabled.
She sees this as part of her successful campaign for the Step by Step School for Autism and autism awareness in general. She is joyful that she had chosen this platform for the Miss Universe Guyana Pageant.
While in French Guyana and as she in-transits in Suriname on her way and returning, she will showcase Guyana as the Beauty Ambassador of her Guyana. She took numerous gifts, including postcards of Guyana, key-chains of flags and maps and Amazon Jungle wood pieces to hand out as gifts to whoever she would meet in Suriname and French Guiana.
But more, she has taken valuable coin collections in sets, and special commemorative ones to be handed out to dignitaries she would meet.
