A fine all round performance by Yudesh Dhanpaul guided Zeeburg to a 48-run victory over Mc Gill Sports Club in the second semifinal of the West Demerara T20 competition last Sunday.
Zeeburg took first strike and posted 191-5 off their allotted 20 overs at Mc Gill SC ground in Canal. Dhanpaul smashed 82 with nine fours and five sixes off 50 balls and got support from Madanlall Doodnarine with 37 (2×4, 4×6). Abdul Razack claimed 4-32.
Mc Gill responded with 148-8 in 20 overs. Razack scored 39; Chrisundial Persaud snared 3-13 and Dhanpaul 2-15.
The final is tentatively set for tomorrow at Joe Vieira Park, La Grange between Zeeburg and Independence SC.
