Play in the Elizabeth Styles Under-19 50 overs cricket competition continued last weekend with West Indies Under-19 batsman Shimron Hetmyer hitting a polished 77 (10×4 1×6) to spearhead Young Warriors to 240 in 30 overs against Goed
Bananen Land.
Hetmyer’s teammate, pacer Kassim Khan then collected 7-30 from 7 overs to help bowl out Goed Bananen Land for a paltry 53 in response.
Also scoring a half century was Joel Seitaram who hit 69 for Tucber Park. Backed up by knocks of 49 from Hakeem Hinds and 42 from Martin Singh, Tucber Park notched up 241- 7 in their allotted 33 overs against Edinburgh who were then knocked over for 42 in reply.
Singh picked up 4 for 5 from 4 overs with his off-spinners while pacer Nial Smith had 3-11 and left arm spinner Sietaram 2-0 from 1.2 overs.
Leg-spinner Viendra Gooniah captured 5-3 from 5 overs and off-spinner Thameshwar Kumar 3-10 from 3 overs to help No.70 Young Star knock over No.58/59 Combined for 37. Young Star went on to win by 7 wickets.

At Edinburgh -Tucber Park outclassed Edinburgh by 199 runs. Tucber Park 241 for 7 in 33 overs;
Joel Sietaram 69, Hakeem Hinds 49, Martin Singh 42; Sanjay Singh 3-29, Wally Latif 2-30. Edinburgh 42 in 16.2 overs; Martin Singh 4-5, Nial Smith 3-11, Joel Sietaram 2-0.
At No.59 – No. 70 Young Star took care of No.58/59 Combined by 7 wickets. No 58/59 Combined 37 in 12 overs; Viendra Gooniah 5-3, Thameshwar Kumar 3-10. No.70 Young Star 38 for 3 in 4 overs; Thameshwar Kumar 24 not out.
