The Lusignan Golf Club will this Saturday honour two past members as part of the Noble House Memorial Cup Golf Tournament.
The first honoree is David de Caires who was an enthusiastic golfer and a lively participant in the club’s activities, while also guiding it through some lean years. The second honoree is Basil Sukhram who was the club’s professional for many years. His languid swing and demeanor belied a fierce competitive spirit that continues even today with his daughter Christine.
The tournament is being generously sponsored by Noble House Seafoods and will be played under a Stableford format with prizes going to first, second and third places as well as Nearest to the Pin.
Tee off time is set for 12:30pm and members are encouraged to come out to honour the two past members.
This tournament will be one held annually and next year’s event will be in honour of Mel Sankies and Syd Cummings.
