Suriname’s Ambassador to Guyana, Nisa Kurban-Baboe recently paid a courtesy call on Chief-of-Staff, Brigadier Mark Phillips at Defence Headquarters, Base Camp Ayanganna.
The two officials discussed possible opportunities for cooperation, including visits and training exercises between the Armies.
Additionally, they examined the possibility of restarting the Military Games and other sporting activities between the Guyana Defence Force and the Suriname Armed Forces.
Brigadier Mark Phillips and Colonel George Lewis will be attending the installation and promotion ceremony of Colonel Ronni Benschop to Commander and Brigadier-General today in Paramaribo, Suriname.
