The Linden Amateur Basketball Association will be holding an executive meeting today at 6:00pm at the Mackenzie Sports Club Pavilion to look at two important matters which need immediate attention.
According to Secretary of the LABA, Joseph Chapman, the matters of interest at the moment are the holding of the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation’s Annual General Meeting and Elections which are set for Saturday in Georgetown and the completion of the final in the Sunburst Under-17 basketball championship.
He said it was important that all members of the executive see it fit to attend as information is that there are at least two persons who have shown an interest in the position of becoming the GABF president and these among other matters will be looked at, even if not in finality.
Chapman said due to the inclement weather still prevailing and with the GABF Elections scheduled, the Sunburst Under-17 Secondary Schools final between Christianburg/ Wismar Secondary and Mackenzie High will be decided at this meeting.
