Albion Cricket Club is the final team to seal a semi-final berth in this year’s Tenelec Inc. Under-15 cricket tournament and have joined Police, Edinburgh and Rose Hall Town Farfan & Mendes, the others to have qualified.
They totally outplayed Big Star in settling for first innings honours in their drawn quarter final encounter.
In the match played at Albion, Big Star sent in to take first strike was bundled out for a paltry 28 in their first innings.
Leading the destruction for Albion was Berbice Under-15 left arm spinner Joshua Harrichan who snared 5 for 8 from 7 overs with off-spinner Asif Ally capturing 4 for 8 from 6.1 overs.
When Albion Community Centre replied, they were given a rousing start of 94 in 18.5 overs by Guyana Under-15 batsman Adrian Sukhwa and Asif Ally. Albion ended their first innings at 252-3. Joshua Harrichan made 49 and Matthew Hardyal and unbeaten 59.
